Outdoor West is a ‘soft adventure’ company based in Lysekil that offers guided and self-guided sea kayaking (clic to book) and rock climbing trips (clic to book) here on the west coast, mixed with local history and culture.

So, as well as kayaking among the islands and skerries of the beautiful Bohuslän archipelago, you also learn about the history, culture and the people of the west coast of Sweden and its islands.

Soft Adventures

This is just one of the many ‘soft adventures’ you can go on with Outdoor West and you don’t even have to be an experienced kayaker or climber to enjoy the trips. All participants get a run-through of the various techniques and safety instructions before heading out. A basic level of fitness and (the ability to swim) and you are good to go (on a kayak trip).

 

Family fun

Many of our guided tours are suitable for families with younger kids. If you have family members 15 years and younger, please check out our activities designed for families.

The regular kayak tours will probably prove too strenuous or unsuitable for persons younger than 15/16 or  shorter than 160 cm. If in doubt whether you have the physical strength or adequate length to manoeuvre the kayak, please give us a call.

 

Equipment rental and sales

If you prefer to explore the coastal area on your own by bike or kayak you can rent it from us. Please make reservations in advance for best price.
